On december 6, 2011, three eco-delegates from Pao Pao High School have participated to the release of 20 young sea turtles.
Also present with the three students were René Galzin and Thierry Lison de Loma, from Moorea’s CRIOBE-EPHE research team on marine environment.
These 20 young sea turtles, brought to the Sea Turtles Clinic from Tetiaroa island, have been fed and looked after until being old and healthy enough to live by themselves in the sea.
To release them, te mana o te moana invited three young eco-delegates from Pao Pao’s High School in Moorea.
Since 2 years, te mana o te moana helps and supports Pao Pao’s High School in their eco-certification attempt (within the French Eco-Ecole program).
This experience was unforgettable for these students who share it on their school’s website: http://www.des.pf/itereva/clgpaopao/articles.php?lng=fr&pg=649
