Let’s take a look back at the release of 9 juvenile turtles earlier this month!
Pae, Heinoa, Lili, Maha, Merahi, Moenau, Waina, Toru and Naïa joined the open sea after 6 months at the Care center.
They were found weakened and motionless in a nest on Tetiaroa as part of the scientific mission conducted on the atoll on green sea turtle nesting sites.
We sure hope these turtles will return in about 20 years to lay their eggs on the beaches of the fenua.
Thank you to the Direction de l’Environnement Polynésie Française for its authorization and on-going support.
