The “MANA HONU, aita te pehu” education and awareness project aims to promote eco-friendly habits in order to significantly reduce plastic use to safeguard marine biodiversity.
This Project includes:
- The organization of educational workshops in Punaauia schools on the alarming consequences of plastic pollution and the eco-friendly habits to adopt.
- The organization of a competition for the creation of ecological work of arts highlighting the importance of safeguarding the Polynesian marine heritage.
- The creation and installation of information panels across the municipality presenting key figures on plastic pollution and detailing the necessary behavioral changes.
- The creation of awareness posters for schools and central locations.
The implementation of this Project is expected in the coming weeks.
