This morning, May 12, 2011, the attention of te mana o te moana’s team was focused on two special visitors : Richard Didier, the Haut-Commissaire in French Polynesia, and Eric Berthon, Administrator of the Australes archipelago, who visited the Sea Turtles Clinic.
To begin with, Cécile Gaspar, te mana o te moana’s President, gave a detailed presentation of te mana o te moana’s activities and missions.
Vie Jourdan, Education officer, then presented all the educational programs, the various educational tools used for awareness raising activities, and also the new fare (room) where classes and children groups are hosted during the programs.
Finally, Matthieu Petit, Biologist, took the visitors for a visit of the Sea Turtles’ Cinic.
The second part of the visit took place on the lagoon, where every body accompanied one of the sea turtes for its release in the wild. The Haut-Commissaire himself released the turtle back in the ocean.
