A unique opportunity to celebrate art in all its forms.

Te mana o te moana held a stand dedicated to promoting 17 years of artistic works created by children on various subjects related to the environment and sea turtles. Real little budding creators who were proud to see their work shared!

It was also an opportunity to educate visitors on the need to safeguard marine resources, in particular with the help of educational booklets and games.

In total, nearly 400 people were welcomed during this event.

Educational programs are in full swing https://www.temanaotemoana.org/en/educational-programs-are-in-full-swing/ Thu, 14 Apr 2022 19:12:27 +0000 https://www.temanaotemoana.org/?p=22076 Since the start of the school holidays, educational programs have been in full swing at Te mana o te moana.

The young teenagers in Arii Heiva Rau – Francas holiday camps came to meet the association: 70 young people had the pleasure of discovering the residents of the Care Center as part of a Discovery Program.

A very beautiful moment of exchanges with these young people from the islands of the Tuamotus, Australs, Marquesas or even Tahiti who are fully aware of the importance of protecting sea turtles and the ravages of plastic pollution.

In December, the teenagers from the Centre de Jeunes Adolescents (CJA) from Paea, Papeete, Punaauia et Vaiare received the visit of our Education Director Vie Stabile for a project on plastic pollution supported by the Funds for the Development of Associative Life (FDVA).

The objective was to convey a strong message to the youth about the dangers of plastic pollution through an educational workshop and the distribution of ecological flasks.

In total, 200 teenagers had the chance of having an educational workshop and receiving a bottle for the great satisfaction of the teenagers and the teachers!

Launch of a new campaign on school buses to fight against plastic pollution https://www.temanaotemoana.org/en/launch-of-a-new-campaign-on-school-buses-to-fight-against-plastic-pollution/ Wed, 14 Aug 2019 01:12:45 +0000 https://www.temanaotemoana.org/?p=17197 It’s time to go back to school!

On this occasion, school buses in Moorea were decorated with awareness posters to fight against plastic pollution. A first on our beautiful island.

“AITA pehu ‼ STOP to waste” are the watchwords for this campaign. We hope that this initiative will help change bad habits and limit the amount of waste thrown into the wild that pollutes our land, our oceans and endangers marine and terrestrial wildlife.

*** Together, we can do more to protect the environment ***
