Open letter on the occasion of the « Etats Généraux de l’Alimentation » https://www.temanaotemoana.org/en/open-letter-on-the-occasion-of-the-etats-generaux-de-lalimentation/ Thu, 10 Aug 2017 23:41:46 +0000 http://www.temanaotemoana.org/?p=12370 Our association is proud to have signed this open letter addressed to the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron and related to the Etats Généraux de l’Alimentation that started on July the 20th. This letter is a call from environmental and nature protection associations federated by France Nature Environnement of which we are a member. These associations are concerned about the EGA’s organisation and want to restore the communication between citizens and politicians to the talks on food.

“Our food system influences the choice of agricultural models and is therefore closely linked to the proper management of natural resources, to the fight against waste and to the conservation of our environment and biodiversity.”

Run and help to the sea turtles conservation… https://www.temanaotemoana.org/en/run-and-help-to-the-sea-turtles-conservation/ Sat, 11 Jun 2016 21:44:29 +0000 http://www.temanaotemoana.org/?p=11209 Capture d’écran 2016-06-09 à 14.28.45The Nature et Découvertes Foundation organize a huge “challenge of strides” to help our Foundation and the Sea turtle Clinic we manage. To save the sea turtles of French Polynesia, participants just had to sleep on their pair of sneakers and rise to the 3 challenges proposed before the last one challenge celebrated on June 5. Each kilometer performed on June 5th will be converted into euro to save them. In total, over 37 257 km were crossed by 15 339 participants!! An undeniable success that allowed the Foundation to donate 30 000 euros to Te mana o te moana.
With this funding, we will improve the functioning of the Sea Turtle Clinic (which has already welcomed and treated more than 400 turtles) and to develop teaching materials, create a discovery of marine turtles outdoor runs…. We thank the Nature et Découvertes Foundation for this beautiful project, the Air Tahiti Nui company who offered an airline ticket for the 2 winners and the InterContinental Moorea Resort and Spa that also offered two nights the hotel of Moorea.
