{"id":214,"date":"2011-05-10T16:46:35","date_gmt":"2011-05-10T16:46:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.imagiinate.com\/temanaotemoana\/?page_id=214"},"modified":"2012-05-17T23:33:40","modified_gmt":"2012-05-17T23:33:40","slug":"marine-mammels","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/en\/marine-mammels\/","title":{"rendered":"Marine Mammals"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"en salle baleine fanons\" src=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/en-salle-baleine-fanons1-287x213.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"287\" height=\"213\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>The <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Delphineau r\u00e9cr\u00e9<\/span><\/strong> program<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><a title=\"Partners\" href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.com\/about-us\/partners\/\">Moorea Dolphin Center<\/a>, in collaboration with te mana o te moana, have developped <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Delphineau Recre<\/span><\/strong>, an educational program\u00a0to learn about the marine life diversity.<\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Delphineau Recre is an educational program f<strong>ocused on marine life diversity<\/strong>, marine ecosystems, marine fauna&#8217;s characteristics, its feeding habits and food chain, whales migrations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The program uses a variety of <strong>educational tools<\/strong>, and the participants also spend some time\u00a0observing the dolphins from the waters edge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/anatomie-dol.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"anatomie dol\" src=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/anatomie-dol-290x213.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"232\" height=\"170\" \/><\/a>The program&#8217;s contents have been designed according to the national educational standards, and <strong>validated by the DEP (Department of Primary Schools) of French Polynesia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The duration and contents of the program vary according to the level of the class (maximum 2h30 long).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The first part presents the \u201cworld of mammals\u201d<\/strong>, and gives the opportunity to learn about the mammals characteristics. The children are taught that dolphins are mammals, and compare their characteristics with those of other mammals, such as humans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/bassin-dauphins-spectacle1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"bassin dauphins spectacle\" src=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/bassin-dauphins-spectacle1-258x213.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"258\" height=\"213\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The kids then get together in small groups of 4-6 to <strong>play various games and activities<\/strong>: a good way to learn more while having fun.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The educator then talks about <strong>protection of environment<\/strong>, and takes everybody to the <strong>Dolphin area<\/strong> for a visit.
