For this year, we have set up 2 educational projects\u00a0: <b>\u00ab\u00a0<a href=\"www.tehttp:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/education\/the-citizen-of-the-ocean-passport\/\" target=\"_blank\">Protect our oceans<\/a>\u00a0\u00bb<\/b> and <b><i>\u00ab\u00a0Bula honu, follow th sea turtles of the Pacific\u00a0\u00bb<\/i><\/b>\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the early morning, we invited 3 classrooms to celebrate this world ocean day\u00a0: two that participated to the \u00ab\u00a0<b>Protect our oceans\u00a0<\/b>\u00bb project and \u00ab\u00a0<b>Bula honu, follow the sea turtles of the Pacific\u00a0<\/b>\u00bb one\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-V5-groupe-chapiteau-tous-ens1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10253 alignleft\" alt=\"WEB V5 groupe chapiteau tous ens\" src=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-V5-groupe-chapiteau-tous-ens1-319x213.jpg\" width=\"297\" height=\"203\" \/><\/a>In fact, more than the project held for the shool-year, another objective was to create a toolkit for the next one generations. But more than a pedagogic tool including a teacher guide, a brochure, 4 posters and a game, we would like to deliver a message\u2026 By using the words and productions of the children we found a way to go through\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">That is why the winner <a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/w-cCharte-Tubuai-Tihoti-1er-prix.pdf\">Charter<\/a> of Tubuai (Austral Islands) and the winner <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">P<a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/poster-CM2-Taharuu.pdf\">oster\u00a0<\/a><\/span> of Taharu\u2019u, Parara (Tahiti) will be included in the toolkit that will be edited in 100 specimens and distributed for free to all participants, partners, ministries and elementary school at the end of the school year. They came to present their work to the public and the other students, as part of the <i>\u00ab\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bulahonu.org\/home\/\"><b>Bula honu, follow the sea turtles of the Pacific<\/b><\/a>\u00a0\u00bb<\/i> project conducted during the year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In fact, to finalise the actions of the Observatory for the sea turtles and the marine mammals initiated in 2011, differents classrooms of French Polynesia, France, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and New-Caledonia exchanged though a website during the all school year, following the travel of 6 green turtles equipped by satellite transmitters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-groupe-PEW.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10252 alignleft\" alt=\"WEB groupe PEW\" src=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-groupe-PEW-319x213.jpg\" width=\"253\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-groupe-PEW-319x213.jpg 319w, https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-groupe-PEW-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-groupe-PEW.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 253px) 100vw, 253px\" \/><\/a>After having exchanged on this website\u00a0: <i>bulahonu.org<\/i>, one of the classroom went in New Caledonia to encounter their partners.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This travel was conducted from May 7<sup>th<\/sup> to May 14<sup>th<\/sup> with our two educators\u00a0: Magali and Charlotte. During their trip, the children have discovered different cultures, and the vision of the sea turtle that is similar than in French Polynesia\u00a0: protect the sea turtles before they disappear.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-groupe-mag.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10250 alignright\" alt=\"WEB groupe mag\" src=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-groupe-mag-319x213.jpg\" width=\"207\" height=\"137\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-groupe-mag-319x213.jpg 319w, https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-groupe-mag-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-groupe-mag.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 207px) 100vw, 207px\" \/><\/a>When they arrived, the 3 classrooms were taken in charge by Magali, our animator that gathered them under the bog top placed at our Sea turtle Clinic, thanks to the <a href=\"www.ihttp:\/\/www.tahiti.intercontinental.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">InterContinental Resort and Spa Moorea<\/a>. Vie, the director presented them the activities of the day before she congratulating them for their hard work and offering them many gifts thanks to the help of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mooreadolphincenter.com\/index.php\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\">Moorea Dolphin Center<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.polynesie-francaise.pref.gouv.fr\/Le-Fonds-Pacifique\" target=\"_blank\">Polyn\u00e9sienne des eaux<\/a> and The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pewtrusts.org\/en\" target=\"_blank\">PEW Charitable Trusts<\/a>). Then, children also enjoyed a special snack offered by the hotel before they started playing activities\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-briefing-sentier-matthieu.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-10251\" alt=\"WEB briefing sentier matthieu\" src=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-briefing-sentier-matthieu-319x213.jpg\" width=\"215\" height=\"146\" \/><\/a>Gathered per group of 8, the children have presented and participated to 8 stands\u00a0: one hosted \u00a0by students from the island of Tubuai, one hosted by the children othat went in New Caledonia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With Henz and Vetea from the <b>Polyn\u00e9sienne des eaux,<\/b> children enjoyed to understand why we need to protect the water, and discover with Jonathan from the <b>Municipality of Moorea Maiao<\/b>, the Protected Marine Plan of the island (PGEM).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Guided by Matthieu, our marine biologist, the students discovered an underwater trail andaccompanied by Magali, Dimitri and Vie, the groups visited the \u00a0<b>Sea Turtle Clinic,<\/b> the dolphin lagoon managed by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-adultes-plateau-jeu.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-10258\" alt=\"WEB adultes plateau jeu\" src=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-adultes-plateau-jeu-319x213.jpg\" width=\"201\" height=\"133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-adultes-plateau-jeu-319x213.jpg 319w, https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-adultes-plateau-jeu-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/WEB-adultes-plateau-jeu.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 201px) 100vw, 201px\" \/><\/a><b>Moorea Dolphin Center<\/b>, and participated to various pedagogic activities on the environment and the animals we need to protect (the race of fe\u2019e the octopus, the ilecolo, the adventures of a green turtle, the cetaceans game\u2026). Finally, Donation from the <b>PEW Charitable Trusts<\/b> proposed them educative activities on the Marine Areas in French Polynesia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>But to celebrate this event, we wanted to propose activities for the locals and teenagers of the <\/i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_9234.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10257 alignleft\" alt=\"IMG_9234\" src=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_9234-142x213.jpg\" width=\"142\" height=\"213\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_9234-142x213.jpg 142w, https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_9234-600x900.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_9234-682x1024.jpg 682w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 142px) 100vw, 142px\" \/><\/a><i>island that could not come usually to our facility. <\/i>Thanks to the support of the Municipality of <b>Moorea Maiao,<\/b> a special shuttle was specially made available to the public of their island that would like to take part of our celebrating day.
