\"INAUGURATION<\/a>This first day of the Science Festival celebration on the theme:
\n” Ecosystem services in French Polynesia: what is the purpose of the nature”<\/span> allowed to gather almost 400 people<\/span> (350 students and 50 general public).<\/p>\n

\"MARC<\/a>During the forenoon, at the Paul Gaughin High School, 350 students<\/span><\/strong> from 15 to 17 years old, attended the simultaneous programs from 6 lecturers, experts in their own sector:<\/p>\n

Benjamin de Clume (beekeeper), Jean Kape (Best – Tamariki Te-Puka_Maruia – Te Reo o te Tuamotu), Elodie Martinez (IRD Institute for Research and Development), Gilles Tehau Parzy (Eden Park Bio Strategies), Antoine Poteau (IRD), Taivini Teai (University of French Polynesia).<\/p>\n

\"WEB<\/a>We thank Mr Eric Besse, Principal of the College who welcomed our team and help to make from this event a real fair for the sciences…<\/p>\n

\"WEB<\/a>The evening was focused on the Conference Cycle<\/strong>, which was held at “Le Petit Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la Maison de la Culture” where more than 50 people<\/span><\/strong> came to the scientific lectures and where local experts, from Earth to Ocean, passing by the Sky, explained the favours given by the Polynesian nature.<\/p>\n

Dr. Serges PLANES<\/strong>, Research Manager at the CNRS (The French National Centre for Scientific Research) and Head Manager of the Centre for Island Research and Environment Observatory (CRIOBE<\/a>), Dr. Marc TAQUET<\/strong>, Head Manager of the French Research Institute for the Development – IRD<\/a>, Dr Pierre SASAL<\/strong>, Researcher at the CRIOBE<\/a> Moorea – Centre for Island Research and Environment Observatory, Jean-Michel BORIE<\/strong>, FOGER Department’s Head – Rural Development Services,\u00a0<\/a> Jean-Yves<\/strong> MEYER<\/strong> botanist from the Delegation for the Research and the Technology<\/a> in French Polynesia, Philippe RAUST<\/strong>, President of the Ornithological Society of French Polynesia Manu<\/a>, Dr. Herv\u00e9 BOSSIN<\/strong>, Medical Entomologist in the Louis Mallard\u00e9 Institute<\/a> (ILM) in French Polynesia, Jean KAPE<\/strong>, President of the association “Tamariki Te-Puka-Maruia”, of “Te Reo o te Tuamotu” and coordinator of the BEST project.<\/p>\n

This 24th edition of the Science Festival<\/strong> in French Polynesia is coordinated by the association Te Mana o Te Moana which was appointed by the Country and the High Commission of the French Republic in French Polynesia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
