Jean-Baptiste has been director for 15 years of the care center for Mediterranean sea turtles: the CESTMED, the only\u00a0care center on the French Mediterranean coast.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/senegas.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-12844\" src=\"http:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/senegas.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"283\" height=\"121\" \/><\/a>Abstract: The loggerhead turtle is the most widespread species in the Mediterranean Sea, like all species of sea turtles, it is protected internationally. To participate in its protection, Jean-Baptiste SENEGAS and his colleagues created the CESTMED , a medical center in the Mediterranean sea but also a scientific and educational tool. 2018 will be a year of innovation for CESTMED. Search for nests using sniffer dogs, follow turtles using transmitters and use\u00a0marine turtles\u00a0 as bio-indicator will be presented as future projects after a review of the actions of the center (www.cestmed.org).
