The “Te fa’a hotu no te paruru” educational project aims to strengthen the resilience of coastal ecosystems to prevent erosion and the disappearance of ecosystems through revegetation and awareness-raising. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of this project, educational interventions were done in 7 8th grade classes in Tahiti and 4 in Moorea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program included: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information on coastal ecosystems, their roles, threats and how to protect them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fun educational activities (reconstruction of a shoreline, presentation of sand samples, a plant species memorization game)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The distribution of a digital booklet on the coastal vegetationA total of 190 students from 11 middle schools were involved! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Project funded by the French Polynesia Coral Reef Initiative (IFRECOR)<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
