Sea turtle rehabilitation center <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are delighted to share with you news and pictures of our residents<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last few months have been marked by the arrival of many emerging turtles from Tetiaroa, corresponding to the peak of hatching on the atoll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, \ud835\udfed\ud835\udff0 \ud835\uddef\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddef\ud835\ude06 \ud835\ude01\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude00, born between December and the end of March were welcomed at the Sea turtle rehabilitation center. Some are already placed in the floating nurseries in the outdoor lagoon, while those who arrived more recently are still in the treatment room. Particular attention is paid to their growth curve with weekly measurement and weighing for each individual. They will be released in a few months if their health and growth curve allow it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, 1 juvenile hawksbill turtle<\/strong>, named \ud835\udc12\ud835\udc2a\ud835\udc2e\ud835\udc22\ud835\udc33, also joined the Sea turtle rehabilitation center in early March. She was found floating, very weakened off the coast of Moorea. Her left front fin is amputated, probably due to predation by a shark, but this injury is old and healed. She gradually regained her energy, and after assisted feeding, Squiz is now eating on her own. Her progress is very positive, she can be released as soon as she has gained enough weight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long-term residents of the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center, \ud835\udde0\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddfc, \ud835\udde2\ud835\uddf8\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf9\ud835\ude06 and \ud835\udde0\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6 \ud835\udddc\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6 are doing very well and are evolving freely in the turtle lagoons.Discover our current residents in pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
