Te mana o te moana teams are implementing the Fa’atura Te Tahatai project, the aim of which is to conduct restoration operation to revegetate certain sites heavily impacted on the Society Islands in French Polynesia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, the beaches are exposed to increasing urbanization, high swells and erosion causing a decrease in nesting surface for sea turtles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, Dr C\u00e9cile Gaspar, our Founder and Director of Strategy, visited R\u00e9union Island to discuss the protocols implemented since 1999 by CEDTM and Kelonia on a similar project. The latter consists of rehabilitating beaches to help sea turtles lay their eggs on Reunion Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
