{"id":26520,"date":"2024-09-05T08:52:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-05T18:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/?p=26520"},"modified":"2024-09-27T09:31:51","modified_gmt":"2024-09-27T19:31:51","slug":"cedtm-and-keolonia-visit-reunion-island-as-part-of-the-fatura-te-tahatai-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/en\/cedtm-and-keolonia-visit-reunion-island-as-part-of-the-fatura-te-tahatai-project\/","title":{"rendered":"CEDTM and KEOLONIA visit Reunion Island as part of the F&#8217;ATURA TE TAHATAI project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Te mana o te moana teams are implementing the Fa&#8217;atura Te Tahatai project, the aim of which is to conduct restoration operation to revegetate certain sites heavily impacted on the Society Islands in French Polynesia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed, the beaches are exposed to increasing urbanization, high swells and erosion causing a decrease in nesting surface for sea turtles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, Dr C\u00e9cile Gaspar, our Founder and Director of Strategy, visited R\u00e9union Island to discuss the protocols implemented since 1999 by CEDTM and Kelonia on a similar project.
