\n\t\t\tEducational Marine Area Cohesion: Punaauia Students Witness Coral Spawning!\t<\/h1>\n\t\t\t\t\"QUI-border\"\n\tOn Tuesday March 18 2025<\/strong>, on Vaiava Beach in Punaauia<\/strong>, Polynesian students<\/strong> had the unique opportunity to witness coral spawning during<\/strong> an event organized as part of the Educational Marine Area (AME)<\/strong> program. A powerful initiative filled with emotion, learning, and commitment to the ocean<\/strong>.\n

An Immersion in Citizen Science<\/strong><\/h2>\nLed by the DGEE Polynesia<\/strong>, in partnership with the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB)<\/strong> and the association Tama No Te Tairoto<\/strong>, this morning event brought together:\n
    \n
  • \n155 students <\/strong>from various schools,\n<\/li>\n
  • \nOfficials and associations committed <\/strong>to marine conservation,\n<\/li>\n
  • \nAn educational team from Te mana o te moana<\/em><\/strong>, present to lead the workshops.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\"492184829_1083502090482169_6088224145105094770_n\"\n\t\t\t\t\"491947266_1083503843815327_7724553983801809443_n\"\n\tAround 7:30 a.m<\/strong>, the children had the chance to observe coral spawning live<\/strong> a fascinating natural phenomenon that is crucial for the reproduction of coral reefs<\/strong>, true pillars of marine biodiversity.\n

    Educational Workshops to Understand and Take Action<\/strong><\/h2>\nOur team led several fun and educational workshops<\/strong> to enable the students to:\n
      \n
    • \nUnderstand the ecological role of corals;<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n
    • \nDiscover how tropical marine ecosystems function;<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n
    • \nBecome aware of the threats facing these fragile environments <\/strong>(pollution, climate change, overfishing, etc.).\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\tObjective: to train younger generations to become ocean<\/strong> ambassadors and encourage them to take action today to protect it.\n
