He was severely injured &#8211; with <strong>numerous wounds on his flippers and shell<\/strong>, as well as a <strong>bone infection<\/strong>.\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/485793691_1061467689352276_8054571627817449953_n.jpg\" alt=\"485793691_1061467689352276_8054571627817449953_n\" itemprop=\"image\" title=\"485793691_1061467689352276_8054571627817449953_n\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading='lazy' \/>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.temanaotemoana.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/485082755_1061467469352298_4468305337936493560_n.jpg\" alt=\"485082755_1061467469352298_4468305337936493560_n\" itemprop=\"image\" title=\"485082755_1061467469352298_4468305337936493560_n\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading='lazy' \/>\n\t<h3 data-start=\"404\" data-end=\"502\"><strong>He was taken care of at our center thanks to an extraordinary chain of solidarity:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"50\" data-end=\"193\">\n<li data-start=\"50\" data-end=\"85\">\n<strong>Transfer arranged by Air Tahiti<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"86\" data-end=\"138\">\nWith the support of<strong> the Ocean Guardians Network<\/strong>,\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"139\" data-end=\"193\">\nAnd the <strong>Environment Directorate of French Polynesia<\/strong>.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Two Months of Care and Monitoring<\/p>\nDuring his stay, Iona received <strong>specialized veterinary care<\/strong>, <strong>daily monitoring<\/strong>, and a lot of attention from our team and volunteers committed to <strong>marine species conservation<\/strong>.
