Members and volunteers from Te mana o te moana have a booth aboard the boat shuttle “Aremiti ferry” which made the crossing from Tahiti to Moorea. This day was exceptionally “an educational cruise” for 200 teenagers and young children from Tahiti (6 to 16 years old) that learnt eco-hands for the environment and became aware about the necessity of protecting the marine species of French Polynesia (marine mammals, sea turtles …). During the return, the association shared with the public the various missions and actions on sea
turtles by projecting on the screens the movie “honu here, protect the sacred”. It was also the opportunity to distribute the “Citizen of the Ocean” passport to each person that will be involved in the protection of the Ocean. This event was organized by the Green Brigade and the the Citizen Movement for the Environment.
