As part of its mandate representative for Pacific National Marine Mammal Stranding Network, and in collaboration with the Department of the Environment, Dr Cécile Gaspar, President of te mana o te moana wishes to collect the maximum of information regarding the different strandings that have occurred in French Polynesia for ten years, and more if possible.
If you have been witnessed or been aware of a stranding in particular, we invite you to transmit the information you have collected, including:
date, location, species, number of individuals, living or dead animal, length, male or female, what actions have been taken (cares, autopsies, samples), do you have pictures or movies, observer name …
Dr. Cécile Gaspar wants to thank you in advance for sharing information that will allow us to provide the Department of the Environment a full report within the framework of the Action Plan for emblematic marine species.
