We are delighted to announce a new partnership between Te mana o te moana and the Maud Fontenoy Foundation! This partnership aims to create and distribute an educational awareness kit in schools, for the safeguard and preservation of the oceans.
During her visit in Tahiti last week, Maud Fontenoy and Cécile Gaspar were able to announce this collaboration which aims to offer primary school students, from the start of the 2023 school year, an educational booklet on the land-sea link. Polynesia and its natural riches will be highlighted in this booklet, which is planned to be distributed to 55,000 primary schools.
Maud Fontenoy, a renowned navigator for her exploits such as solo rowing crossings in the Atlantic and the Pacific, is an ambassador for the Ministry of National Education and Youth and has been working for the protection of the planet and the oceans since over 20 years. A previous educational kit on water was produced in partnership with her Foundation a few years ago.
