Welcomed to the Care center a month ago, Himene Aito Iti is a green sea turtle from Tetiaroa, found in the nest injured and very weak. A deep wound on the left anterior fin was preventing Himene from moving it entirely.
In 1 month, its progress is phenomenal! Himene has now fully recovered the use of its fin and moves with rapidity. It now weighs 74 g and measures 7.6 cm versus 27 g and 5 cm upon arrival.
Himene’s particularity: makes beautiful deep apneas to collect fishes at the bottom of its pool but does not dive for squids. Himene does not like it!
