Matapo, a blind hawksbill sea turtle following a speargun injury, is a resident of the Sea turtle care center since May 2009. Due to her handicap, she is fed squids, fishes and algae with a clamp. The lagoon’s natural water allows our resident turtles to face the competition of small fishes for their food, like they would in the wild.
Aside from her impairment, Matapo is doing great.
