Pereiti had been found off Opunohu Bay in Moorea :
- floating,
- with 4 arrow holes in her neck.
Her wounds were treated, but she now has a secondary problem of buoyancy due to the presence of air in her lungs
X-rays were taken at 16-day intervals to monitor the evolution of these air bubbles after treatment.
A reduction in size is evident, so we hope that Pereiti’s evolution will be positive and that she will manage to fathom again so that she can be released!
We’ll be sure to keep you posted
