Since the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year, our educators are traveling in the Austral Islands to deliver the “Ocean Heritage” toolkit created as part of the heritage Ocean project thanks to the support of the PEW Charitable Trusts. We are really pleased to having conducted this huge educational program that gathered more than 1 200 students from 9-11 years old since the beginning.
From Raivavae to Moorea, in going through Rimatara and Rurutu, our team has delivered specific educational programs on the needs to set up marine conservation plans such as Rahui tamarii or marine areas… At each time they went into a school, a specimen of the toolkit was given to impulse teachers to use it year by year.
