Fofo, recalled “Bingo” for the day, is the 132 sea turtle released by the Sea turtle Clinic of Moorea. Welcomed on February 12th, 2012, this baby green turtle has been found blocked into the nest during the nest monitoring campain realized by the team on the atoll of Tetiaroa. After a little bit less than 2 years at the Clinic, she’s now ready to go back to the ocean weigthing 10,3 kilos for 44,8cm. Fofo has been relased by Julie Gautier, France recodman freediver. We wish her a beautiful journey, Good luck and Nana (Bye Bye).
Remember that the Sea turtle Clinic was created on February 2004 as part of a conservation program on sea turtles held and supported by the Ministry of the Environment in French Polynesia. In 9 years ( the birthday will be in a few days) 339 sea turtles were welcomed and Bingo is the 132 one’s released. Located into the InterContinental Resort and Spa, the te mana o te moana is taking care of the Sea turtle Clinic.
