After more than one year and a half of cares at the Sea turtle Clinic, we were happy to release Tifai no Faa’a with the team of the PGEM foundation : Dom and Josiane with whom we are working closely on the preservation of the Marine Area Plan of Moorea…
Tifai no Faa’a (Tifai is another tahitian word for turtle and faa’a is a place on Tahiti where she was found out) arrived when she was just approximately 10 months old after having found by locals on a close island. Really skinny and apathetic (1 kilo) at her arrival, she ‘s now weighting 6 kilos and was released in the ocean on september 24th… She’s the 188 sea turtle relasead by the Sea Turtle Clinic thanks to the authorization of Ministry of the Environment. This release was made possible thanks to the Top Dive center that provide us the boat.
