Following our call for volunteers to create a braided turtle as mascot of our MANA HONU Project, we had the joy of welcoming Maïre today who gifted us her creation. A wonderful present!
Thanks to Maïre, we will be able to use this mascot during educational programs to show children all the waste that can be found in a turtle’s belly but also in other marine species.
Fishing nets, pieces of plastic bags and cans are examples of waste we will place inside the mascot to illustrate the emergency situation we are in.
