Since last November, the Te mana o te moana teams have been visiting Polynesian students in order to distribute ecological flasks and carry out educational workshops on eco-friendly habits to adopt to limit the damages of plastic pollution.
To date, more than 2,090 children have received a flask as a gift and have benefited from an educational workshop in class!
Children and teachers welcome this project with great enthusiasm and use their water bottles with pride.
At the end of this Project, 3,200 gourdes will have been distributed in schools in Tahiti and Moorea.
At the same time, a major competition for the creation of work-of-arts is organized so that children can work on a theme related to environmental protection and present their productions. This competition will close with a prize-giving ceremony on World Oceans Day on June 8, 2021.
