As part of the “Zero pollution in my lagoon” project, we organized our very first waste collection since the move of the association to Tahiti
500kg of waste collected in 2 hours !
From the Intercontinental to the Motu Tahua Ovini parking lot. In total, we collected:
- 1 bag of glass (250 L)
- 15 batteries
- 6 bags of recyclable waste (1500L)
- 8 bags of non-recyclable waste (2000L)
That’s 440 kg of waste removed from nature, which could potentially have ended up in our lagoons, causing the degradation of our precious marine environment.
We’d like to thank all the participants and their motivation, as well as the Ville de Faa’a for their logistical support and involvement and Syndicat FENUA MA for the donations of bags and vests
