For those who have not heard about it yet, Te mana o te moana’s care center hosted a new green sea turtle two weeks ago.
It was narrowly rescued by gendarmes in a house of Moorea where it was found with another sea turtle that had only its plastron (bottom of the shell) left.
This young green sea turtle, called Muto’i, joined a basin of our rehabilitation lagoon. We are very pleased to announce that Muto’i is feeling better day by day and that the wound on its flipper, caused by a harpoon, is already healing. After a near-death experience, Muto’i will soon return to freedom !
Please, feel free to visit Muto’i at our care centre, authorized by ministerial order and located within the InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa.
