In the following of the Cetaceans Observatory held since 3 years, a new version of an identification card for cetaceans species of French Polynesia has been realized. Validated by the French Polynesian Ministry of the Environment and realized in partnership with the Dr Michael Poole, this card helps tourism operators to remind them of the relevant regulation and the rules of good conduct that they should follow, and provides information about the 16 species the most observed in the French Polynesian waters.

Arriving soon : The “Guide for observing dolphins and whales in French Polynesia” in English version will be ready soon. It will be distribute with the French ones’ to the operators of Dolphins and Whales Watching” in order to inform tourists about the cetaceans, the relevant legislation, and the altready existing approach recommendations.
