ITE Educational Platform – Discovering the Marine Animals of Polynesia

A fun, interactive, and free educational tool accessible to all.
-
ITE was designed to share knowledge in an engaging and inclusive way, starting from age 8, and accessible from anywhere. Inspired by the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) format, the platform allows users to explore marine species, their biology, habitats, and the threats they face, while offering concrete actions for their conservation.
Two learning paths are available, covering anatomy, species, life cycle, threats, and protection measures:
-
For children aged 8 to 14: an illustrated, fun, and interactive path adapted to younger audiences.
-
For ages 15 and up: a path enriched with scientific content and additional resources to deepen knowledge and become an active player in marine conservation.
The platform is completely free and open to everyone — students, teachers, families, associations, or simply the curious.
-
Wide dissemination for equitable access to knowledge.
-
TE was designed to ensure equal access to environmental education, particularly in the remote archipelagos of French Polynesia. With the support of the Directorate-General for Education and Teaching (DGEE), the platform will be integrated into schools and shared within community and social organizations across the territory.
