Awareness Day at Tahua Motu Ovini Park: The Youth of Faa’a Discover the Lagoon

QUI-border

An educational and committed initiative in the heart of Faa'a

In December 2024, an environmental awareness day was organized at Tahua Motu Ovini Park in Faa'a, for students from neighborhoods across the municipality. The goal: to reconnect young people with the lagoon that surrounds their daily lives, and to teach them the right actions to help preserve it.

The Connection Between Neighborhood and Lagoon at the Heart of the Workshops

Through fun and educational workshops, the young people were able to discover:

  • The richness of the marine and terrestrial biodiversity of our fenua.
  • The impact of our daily actions on the environment.
  • Simple eco-friendly habits to adopt to protect our island, from our neighborhoods to the lagoon.

A big mauruuru to the students of Vaiaha and Farahei Nui elementary schools and Henri Hiro middle school for their active and curious participation!

Thanks to the committed partners

This day would not have been possible without the involvement of our partners:

Océanie, Forêts polynésiennes de l'AOA, FACE Polynésie, Odewa.

Tous ensemble
