The 𝒌𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒖 (or coconut crab) 𝘉𝘪𝘳𝘨𝘶𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘰 has inspired the new collection from our partner Hinerava, who has been supporting us for many years by us giving donations.
The 𝗰𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗯 is a little-known species in terms of its life cycle and has been the subject of a monitoring project by Te mana o te moana teams since 2017 on Tetiaroa atoll with the support of the Direction de l’Environnement.
This inventory is also part of the monitoring of the effects of the deratization carried out on the atoll by Tetiaroa Society .
These 𝒌𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒖 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒔 designed by Hinerava showcase this emblematic and regulated species of French Polynesia, which offers incredible color palettes.
