Te mana o te moana

Created in 2004, Te mana o te moana is an environmental association in French Polynesia, committed to protecting the marine environment and marine wildlife, especially sea turtles.
The association works daily to raise awareness among current and future generations about the importance of preserving marine ecosystems. It operates through conservation programs, educational activities, and scientific partnerships.
Since June 2023, the association has been located within the Tahiti InterContinental Resort & Spa in Faa'a.

RESEARCH & CONSERVATION.
Through concrete actions of rehabilitation, scientific research, and awareness-raising, we work for the protection of sea turtles.
EDUCATION
We create learning materials and offer educational programs and projects to raise awareness about the protection of the marine environment.

A 1-hour guided tour of our sea turtle rehabilitation center in Tahiti, open to all, young and old. Discover our residents and learn more about sea turtles.
2025 Schedule:
- March: Wednesday at 1:30 PM and Saturday at 9:30 AM
- April to June: Wednesday and Friday at 1:30 PM, and Saturday at 9:30 AM
- July to August: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1:30 PM, and Saturday at 9:30 AM
- September to December: Wednesday at 1:30 PM and Saturday at 9:30 AM.
The schedule will be reconfirmed at the time of booking in case of any changes.
Prices (Payment on-site by credit card only):
- From 12 years old: 1500 XPF
- Under 12 years old: 500 XPF
Reservation: at our welcome kiosk or directly by email.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the association, particularly at the sea turtle care center
- Continue to educate and raise awareness among young people and the general public about environmental issues and the need to protect the Polynesian marine environment
- Create new research programs on the key topics of the association: sea turtles, marine mammals, coral reefs, etc.
- Develop innovative solutions to monitor and ensure the protection of the richness of the marine space in French Polynesia.
